Mother's Day
Saturday Ron told me to get in the car that his Mother's Day gift to me was a trip to....

So Fredicksburg we headed. If you know me you know that I LOVE going there. We got to Wildseed Farms and had a blast walking and looking at all the plants, flowers and flower pots. Ron picked one out for me. I'll have to post a picture of it once I get a plant/flower in it.
We walked the trails and trails of wildflower fields. They were beautiful.
After walking through all the fields we sat in the patio area and had a peach ice cream and water...lots of water. It was HOT. As I was sitting there I saw the most unusual flower. It was called (or so the sign said) an "Iron Cross Blossom". It kind of looked like a water flower, but it was on a vine that had grown to cover a brick wall.
After the Wildseed Farm we headed into Fredricksburg to walk Main Street and eat at Auslander Restaurant. It was great day just me and Ron. He's such a sweetie to do that for me. When I'd ask him if he wanted to do this or that he'd say, "It's your day, I want to do whatever you want to do" and he did just that.

Sunday for Mother's Day Ron and I cooked for my mom and my kids. I know it's Mother's Day but I HATE to fight the crowds of people at eating places. My kids gave me a very special Mother's Day gift. They had photos taken at the train depot here in San Angelo and gave me a collage of the pictures. I had always regretted that at Mark & Whitni's wedding we didn't get a picture of the 4 of them, so they did that for me.
My mind drifted alot yesterday to my MawMaw. I know her first Mother's Day in Heaven was perfect. I remember all the Mother's Days in Abilene with her, my Mom and all my Aunts. I've been richly blessed for many years.
