Kitchen Update...and NOW Bathroom, too!!!

Here is an update on our house remodel. We have redone all the sheetrock and I have completed painting the kitchen. My new custom made hickory cabinets are due to put in beginning at 9 am tomorrow morning. I have picked out the granite for my counter-top.

Here is a picture of the walls in the kitchen. I picked a color called Hunting Coat Red. I love red!!

Oh, yeah....while we were ripping out, Ron decided we should go ahead and do the bathroom, too. He tore the bathtub and the cabinets out. It turned out to be a good thing we decided to take this remodel a step further.

Ron discover a leak in the plumbing in the bathroom. He tore the bathtub out and shower inset and put a new tub in. Now we all get to shower staring at the studs in the walls (minus the walls).
Here's where the bathroom cabinets used to be. I'll update tomorrow after my cabinets are in. Gotta go put another coat of paint on the kitchen. It takes several coats!

Kitchen Update

This is what my kitchen looks like this morning. After tearing all the cabinets out we started putting new sheet-rock up and Ron has starting taping & floating all the seams & nail areas. The cabinet man will be coming next week to take final measurements and our final decisions on the cabinets. We have decided that we want hickory cabinets with raised panel doors and no stain only a clear varnish. Ron also put in a new window.

After about a week and half of washing the dishes in the bathtub (which I hated) Ron came home with this "shop" sink. It's nice to have a sink in the kitchen again and it's moveable.

Can you see all the outlets I will have!! Ron also resessed the refrigerator, so it doesn't stick out so far into the room. It make a huge difference.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHITNI!!

Today Whitni is 22 years old. Wow...where has the time flown??? We will celebrate tonight with MeMe & Poppy doing the cooking since my kitchen is nonexistent at the moment. So here's wishing Whitni a very happy day!!!
